Shibuya Gyoza's Summer Festival Fair - A Taste of Street Food
As summer approaches, Shibuya Gyoza, a beloved establishment under the MP Kitchen umbrella, announces an exciting event that brings the vibrant atmosphere of a traditional Japanese summer festival to its locations in Shibuya and Shinjuku. Starting August 1, 2026, visitors will have the chance to indulge in unique seasonal offerings during the "Summer Festival Fair".
New and Exciting Menu Items
One of the stars of this fair is the newly introduced "Okonomiyaki Gyoza," expertly crafted from scratch at the restaurant. This innovative dish combines the beloved flavors of okonomiyaki into a gyoza form. The dumpling skin is meticulously made in-house, infused with aonori (seaweed powder) that complements a filling reminiscent of okonomiyaki. Ingredients like cabbage and beni shoga (pickled ginger) are wrapped inside, making every bite a delightful experience. Once cooked, each gyoza is garnished with a rich sauce and mayonnaise, replicating the taste of authentic okonomiyaki. At a price of just 580 yen, this limited-time specialty promises to be a breath of fresh air in the gyoza landscape.
In addition to the Okonomiyaki Gyoza, the festival fair includes a variety of other street food options designed to evoke a carnival vibe. Guests can savor delicious Tornado Potatoes, savory Dashi Yakisoba, juicy Frankfurters, and refreshing whole pickled cucumbers—all also priced at 580 yen or 350 yen respectively. Each dish is chosen to create the perfect nostalgic atmosphere of a summer festival right in the heart of Shibuya.
The Revival of the Popular Wagyu Fair
Also making a comeback at Shibuya Gyoza during this fair is the much-loved Wagyu Fair, which had received overwhelming appreciation from guests in the past. Known for its motto of offering tasty dishes at reasonable prices, Shibuya Gyoza recognizes the desire for something a bit more luxurious on occasion. For those looking to enjoy an indulgent meal, new dishes such as the "Premium Wagyu Gyoza" and "Wagyu Fried Rice" await. The Premium Wagyu Gyoza, topped with mouthwatering slices of Japanese Wagyu, is priced at 1780 yen, while the equally sumptuous Wagyu Fried Rice is available for 1880 yen. Regular wagyu gyoza also remains on the menu at a cost of 780 yen.
Limited-Time Only
Both the Summer Festival Fair and the revival of the Wagyu Fair will only be available in limited quantities until supplies last. Visitors are encouraged to come early to ensure they don’t miss out on these exclusive culinary experiences that blend quality, creativity, and tradition.
