The 92nd Basic Logistics Course: Enhancing Your Logistics Knowledge

Starting from October 7, 2025, the Japan Institute of Logistics Systems (JILS) is launching the 92nd Basic Logistics Course online. This course is designed to provide participants with a solid foundation in logistics concepts and the necessary knowledge for effective management aimed at overall optimization.

What is the Basic Logistics Course?

The Basic Logistics Course provides an opportunity for new employees and those new to logistics roles to gain essential insights into the logistics framework. This comprehensive curriculum will cover the basics of logistics, from an overview of operations to specific functions, as well as logistics improvement, inventory management, and logistics costs. The goal is to equip participants to see beyond their immediate job responsibilities, helping them develop into professionals who can continually pursue efficient and rational logistics practices.

Testimonials from Previous Participants

Participants from the 2024 course reported significant learning experiences. One participant from the manufacturing industry noted, “I was able to learn things that pique my interest in my daily work but that I had not been able to investigate thoroughly. The materials provided and the answers I received to my questions deepened my understanding. I look forward to reviewing what I learned in this course as I return to my daily tasks.”

Another attendee from the logistics sector stated, “Hearing detailed explanations from the instructor about concepts I was learning for the first time was incredibly helpful. The thorough breakdown of topics made it easy to follow along, even as someone with no prior knowledge.”

A participant from the distribution field highlighted the practical nature of the course: “The content was very applicable to real work situations, and I found many hints to improve my company’s operations. The use of explanatory videos made the course very accessible, allowing me to gain a practical perspective in addition to theoretical knowledge. I encountered unfamiliar terms and concepts, but this became a great opportunity to expand my own knowledge. Overall, I enhanced my understanding of logistics operations and boosted my motivation to engage in concrete improvements at my workplace.”
