About Kojiro Shiraishi

Kojiro Shiraishi, born on May 8, 1967, in Tokyo and raised in Kamakura, is Japan's prominent figure in ocean adventure. After training under the late Yuuki Tada, who was the first to win a solo round-the-world sailing race, Shiraishi set the youngest record for a non-stop solo circumnavigation in 1994. He made history again as the first Asian to complete the intense Vendée Globe race in 2021. Beyond racing, Shiraishi actively engages children, providing programs like the Riviera Maritime School, teaching them the importance of nature and dreams.
