The 30th Furniture China Exhibition: A Record-Breaking Event

The 30th edition of the Furniture China exhibition, organized by the China National Furniture Association and Shanghai Sinoexpo Informa Markets, took place from September 10 to 13, 2025, along with the Maison Shanghai event held earlier from September 9 to 12. The exhibitions were framed under the inspiring theme “BEYOND NEXT”, showcasing the forefront of global design, innovation, and trade in the furniture sector.

This year's exhibition broke all previous records, attracting a staggering 163,527 visitors over its five-day run. Participants came from 174 countries and regions, highlighting the event's extensive international appeal. Notably, the number of foreign visitors surged to 32,618, reflecting a 13.9% annual growth and a significant recognition on the world stage.

Expansive Presence and Industry Innovation

The exhibitions occupied an impressive 350,000 square meters of space, featuring over 3,200 exhibitors showcasing a variety of products ranging from finished furniture to raw materials and smart manufacturing technologies. A keen interest was noted in the pavilions dedicated to outdoor and garden furniture, as well as those representing FMC China and FMC Premium. These sections highlighted advancements in sustainable and high-quality manufacturing practices across the industry. By combining supplier capabilities with innovative design, both Furniture China and Maison Shanghai have solidified their positions as leading global hubs in the furniture manufacturing and lifestyle sectors.

At SWEECC, the Maison Shanghai exhibition showcased over 800 design brands divided into four thematic zones, sparking creativity and innovative lifestyle inspirations. One of the standout events was the H3 Design Highland pavilion, which attracted significant attention from industry leaders, media, and buyers, setting a new benchmark for designer-focused exhibitions.

In parallel, the Maison Shanghai exhibition also experienced phenomenal growth, welcoming 47,077 visitors, an impressive 55.6% increase from previous years, with international attendance climbing by 123% compared to the previous year. The event opened up discussions around design’s intersection with lifestyle and cultural creativity, facilitating over 100 forums and events. Initiatives like the Gold Idea Design Award, CREDAWARD, Design of Designers (DOD), and the Maison Design Forum highlighted themes of innovation, heritage, sustainability, and East-West exchanges.

Digital Engagement and Future Prospects

To expand their outreach beyond the physical exhibition space, the organizers launched the DTS FurnitureChina APP, enabling businesses to connect year-round. The app enriches the user experience with AI-powered partner searches, exhibitor catalogs, and comprehensive networking opportunities.

Reflecting on the success of this landmark 30th anniversary edition of Furniture China, organizers extend their gratitude to all exhibitors, partners, and visitors. They eagerly anticipate welcoming the global furniture and design community back to Pudong, Shanghai for the next edition in 2026.
