The 30th Furniture China Exhibition: A Record-Breaking Event
The 30th edition of the
Furniture China exhibition, organized by the China National Furniture Association and
Shanghai Sinoexpo Informa Markets, took place from
September 10 to 13, 2025, along with the
Maison Shanghai event held earlier from
September 9 to 12. The exhibitions were framed under the inspiring theme
“BEYOND NEXT”, showcasing the forefront of global design, innovation, and trade in the furniture sector.
This year's exhibition broke all previous records, attracting a staggering
163,527 visitors over its five-day run. Participants came from
174 countries and regions, highlighting the event's extensive international appeal. Notably, the number of foreign visitors surged to
32,618, reflecting a
13.9% annual growth and a significant recognition on the world stage.
Expansive Presence and Industry Innovation
The exhibitions occupied an impressive
350,000 square meters of space, featuring over
3,200 exhibitors showcasing a variety of products ranging from finished furniture to raw materials and smart manufacturing technologies. A keen interest was noted in the pavilions dedicated to outdoor and garden furniture, as well as those representing
FMC China and
FMC Premium. These sections highlighted advancements in sustainable and high-quality manufacturing practices across the industry. By combining supplier capabilities with innovative design, both
Furniture China and
Maison Shanghai have solidified their positions as leading global hubs in the furniture manufacturing and lifestyle sectors.
At
SWEECC, the
Maison Shanghai exhibition showcased over
800 design brands divided into four thematic zones, sparking creativity and innovative lifestyle inspirations. One of the standout events was the
H3 Design Highland pavilion, which attracted significant attention from industry leaders, media, and buyers, setting a new benchmark for designer-focused exhibitions.
In parallel, the
Maison Shanghai exhibition also experienced phenomenal growth, welcoming
47,077 visitors, an impressive
55.6% increase from previous years, with international attendance climbing by
123% compared to the previous year. The event opened up discussions around design’s intersection with lifestyle and cultural creativity, facilitating over
100 forums and events. Initiatives like the
Gold Idea Design Award,
CREDAWARD,
Design of Designers (DOD), and the
Maison Design Forum highlighted themes of innovation, heritage, sustainability, and East-West exchanges.
Digital Engagement and Future Prospects
To expand their outreach beyond the physical exhibition space, the organizers launched the
DTS FurnitureChina APP, enabling businesses to connect year-round. The app enriches the user experience with AI-powered partner searches, exhibitor catalogs, and comprehensive networking opportunities.
