Havenpark Celebrates Second Humanitarian Award for Education Initiatives in Communities

Havenpark Communities: A Beacon of Educational Success

Havenpark Communities, a prominent name in manufactured home community development, has made headlines once again by receiving the prestigious Humanitarian Award from Multi-Housing News. This award marks the second consecutive year that Havenpark has been honored, recognizing its impactful Education Success Program, which aims to support residents in achieving their postgraduate educational aspirations through scholarships, mentorship, and various educational initiatives aimed at enhancing access to education.

The Award and Its Significance

On December 5, 2024, during the MHN Excellence Awards held in New York City, Jason Hale, Havenpark's Director of Education Success, graciously accepted the award. The Humanitarian Award is part of Multi-Housing News' annual awards program, which celebrates the most outstanding entities in the housing sector. According to Hale, the recognition goes beyond an award; it validates Havenpark's ongoing commitment to uplifting the lives of its residents through education.

Education Success Program: A Snapshot

Since its inception in 2021, the Education Success Program has had a remarkable impact. To date, it has awarded scholarships to 101 students, empowering them to pursue post-secondary education across a variety of institutions, including colleges, universities, trade schools, and vocational programs. Each year, Havenpark allocates a minimum of $500,000 to this program, which not only provides financial assistance but also opens doors for students to connect with career and education experts, ensuring they receive personalized mentorship throughout their educational journeys.

Co-founder and CEO Robbie Pratt expressed immense pride in the program’s achievements: "When J. Anthony Antonelli founded this initiative, he believed that access to higher education could significantly alter a person's life course. The success stories since then have proven this belief correct, with over a hundred students benefiting so far. We look forward to many more achievements in the future."

Celebrating Scholarship Recipients

In a joyous event coinciding with National Scholarship Month in November, Havenpark took the opportunity to honor 42 scholarship recipients for the current year. Notably, 73% of these students are first-generation college attendees, a statistic that highlights the program's dedication to breaking down educational barriers. Furthermore, 74% of the recipients have ambitions to pursue further education at four-year colleges or universities.

Dr. Jason Hale remarked on the significance of such milestones: "Leading this program and supporting these remarkable students at every stage of their educational endeavors is an honor. The Education Success Program exemplifies our commitment to enhancing higher education access for our residents and underscores the rewarding nature of having our initiatives recognized."

As momentum continues, the 2025 J. Anthony Antonelli Scholarship application is currently open for interested candidates.
