Exploring the Effective Utilization of Foreign Caregivers in Nursing Homes

Online Seminar on Utilizing Foreign Caregivers

Event Overview
Human Life Care, based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, is hosting a free online seminar titled "A Must-See for Directors! How to Energize Nursing Facilities with Foreign Caregivers" on May 27, 2025. This seminar aims to discuss practical approaches in integrating foreign caregiving personnel into Japanese nursing homes.

The demand for caregivers has drastically outpaced supply in Japan, and as of December 2024, there are 44,367 foreign caregivers working under the specified skill visa, an increase of 276% compared to December 2022. Despite this growth, only about 20.3% of care facilities in Japan are currently accepting foreign workers. However, among those not yet participating, 31.4% expressed a willingness to consider doing so. This indicates a shift towards a more positive outlook on integrating foreign workforce solutions to address the critical workforce shortages in care facilities.

Seminar Schedule
Two sessions will be held on the same day: 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Both sessions will cover the same content, allowing for flexibility in attendance. Each session will explore topics such as the specifics of the designated skill system, the benefits and necessities for creating an effective acceptance structure, and enhancing team dynamics through practical case studies.

Target Audience
This seminar is designed for executives, administrators, and HR personnel from nursing homes looking to address labor shortages. Participants will gain insights into the essential preparations for welcoming foreign caregivers into their workforce, including team-building efforts to foster understanding and cooperation among all staff members.

After the seminar, there will be a question and answer session, followed by personal consultations for participants who seek further discussion on the subject.
