Lupus Research Alliance's Fall Season Walks

The Lupus Research Alliance is gearing up for an inspiring event as it launches its Fall Walk with Us to Cure Lupus on Saturday, October 18, 2025. This initiative invites thousands of dedicated lupus advocates to join the fight against this chronic autoimmune disease, working together to raise crucial funds for research aimed at finding a cure.

Lupus is a complex and often misunderstood illness, affecting millions globally. It can impact various organs, leading to significant inflammation and tissue damage. The upcoming walk not only serves as a fundraiser but also as an opportunity for individuals affected by lupus, along with their families and supporters, to connect and inspire one another.

Event Details

This season's events will take place in major cities including New York City, Dallas, and San Diego, alongside a virtual walk accessible to participants from anywhere in the world. Through these events, the Lupus Research Alliance aims to further its mission to accelerate research efforts, having previously succeeded in raising over $46 million since the program's inception.

New York City Walk

The event will feature entertainment, light refreshments, face painting, photo booths, a Kids Zone, and motivational speakers. Among the speakers will be the 2025 Walk Ambassador, Stephanie Patti, who was diagnosed with lupus in 2016. She has become an integral member of the LRA community and emphasizes the importance of this fundraising event as a means to bring hope and improve treatments.

"I walk because research changes everything," Stephanie shared. "Every step we take, every dollar we raise brings us closer to better treatments — and one day, a cure. I walk for myself, for my lupus family, and for every warrior who needs hope."

Dallas Walk

The Dallas event will feature lively music, face painting, balloon twisting, and team photos, culminating in a celebration of local lupus warriors, including volunteer Shelley Shuttlesworth.

San Diego Walk

Participants in San Diego will enjoy various activities, including massages, music, and team photos, in a festive atmosphere that strengthens community bonds.
