A Spectacular Evening of Melodies

Kazuo Tokumitsu's concert, entitled "Celebrating the Life's Melodies of Kazuo Tokumitsu!", is officially scheduled for April 24, 2026 at the Tokyo International Forum, Hall A. This event is a continuation of his earlier concert series that celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Showa era alongside the 15th anniversary of his long-standing radio program, "Tokumitsu Kazuo's Kayo Saturday" on Nippon Broadcasting System, which he has hosted every Saturday morning for many years. The program revolves around music while incorporating sports news and heartwarming stories from his personal experiences, showcasing a multitude of requested songs.

The upcoming concert aims to resonate with the audience through the theme: "Applauding the Melodies that Accompanied Our Lives!" Following the resounding success of the previous concert, where numerous renowned artists performed beloved songs, many fans expressed their desire for another event. Kazuo listens to these audience voices and brings together an unrivaled mix of talent, honoring those who have significantly shaped his musical journey.

Among the participating artists are renowned singer-songwriters and respected figures from the music industry. Kei Ogura, known for creating many classic hits, and long-time friend Masaki Sakai, who performed at this year's concert, are confirmed to return. Kumiko, who first mesmerized audiences with her live performance in Ginza, and Judy Ongg, famous for her iconic tracks like "Mizuki" will also grace the stage. Moreover, OG performers adjusting their busy schedules to attend include those actively performing across Asia, showcasing the concert's diverse musical vibes.

As for emcees, Kazuo Tokumitsu himself will host the event alongside Miyuki Ishikawa, his partner on the Kayo Saturday radio show. Notable radio personality Masahiko Ueyanagi, who has a strong bond with Tokumitsu dating back to their university days, will also make an appearance to support the concert.
