As we mark the fifth anniversary of Ethical&SEA Yokohama on March 4, 2026, we reflect on our journey and the impact we've created in the community. Founded by Flag Co., Ltd., our flagship store opened on March 4, 2021, in the SOTETSU Joinus shopping mall, located on the second floor. Since then, we have committed to curating stylish and convenient products that embody ethical values, making them accessible for everyday life.

The initial response from our customers often expressed skepticism about 'ethical' items. To bridge this gap, we continuously selected pieces that are not only fashionable but also easily integrated into daily routines. A significant highlight for us has been our dedication to ocean conservation, driven by the unique spirit of Yokohama as a coastal city. We have been actively involved in initiatives like beach clean-up programs in collaboration with our local community, reminding ourselves of the importance of preserving the ocean.

In December 2023, we proudly obtained the Y-SDGs certification, granted by Yokohama city for our sustainable activities. This acknowledgment further solidifies our commitment to working alongside local efforts towards sustainability.

Looking ahead, we are excited to introduce the Ethical Enichi (ethical fair) starting in October 2025. This event will gather various businesses, organizations, and artists that champion ethical practices, offering workshops and opportunities to engage with sustainable living directly. Each session has seen an increase in participants, emphasizing the growing resonance of our mission.
