Artist's Reflection
Natsuko Seki describes her artistic process as akin to creating a miniature model space. By gathering countless small elements combined with memories that she has stowed away, she embarks on crafting these spaces. The final piece, while not visible at the outset, materializes through the journey, often aided by the serendipity of chance encounters. While she does not have a formal background in psychology, Seki notes that as her vague ideas take shape, the process serves a therapeutic role for her. Through creating, she finds clarity on what matters most and what intrigues her, making this art-making endeavor a vital part of her life. Therefore, she chose the title "Miniature Garden Scenery" as a nod to the therapeutic essence it conveys.
