A Unique Collaboration: Launch of Potato Chips in Saitama

Starting from June 27, 2025, the Palsystem Saitama Cooperative will collaborate with the Urinco Club and Kikusuido Co., Ltd. to sell exclusive potato chips made through an innovative social and agricultural partnership at the 'Paru Terasu' facility in Urawa, Saitama City. This initiative marks the fourth consecutive year of combining efforts among three local entities to promote social inclusion and sustainable practices in food production, coinciding with the International Year of Cooperatives.

The featured product, the 'Kikusuido Potato Chips 60g', stands out because it is made with simplicity and care. The ingredients include only potatoes harvested during hands-on agricultural experiences organized by the Urinco Club, along with oil and salt. After the potatoes are freshly harvested, Kikusuido, a company known for producing Palsystem's original items, quickly processes them into delicious chips.

The Urinco Club focuses on creating inclusive experiences that empower both individuals with and without disabilities by allowing their unique talents to shine through collaborative efforts. This particular agricultural experience is part of their 'Project Starting from Seeds,' emphasizing the importance of the agricultural and welfare integration model referred to as 'Nōfuku Renkei' in Japan.

Supported by a grant from the Palsystem Group, the sales have taken place annually since 2022 and have gained tremendous popularity, selling out every year. This year, only 200 bags of these chips will be available, making them a sought-after item for locals.
