Are you ready to unleash your creativity? Starting September 2026, Ikedaya Co., renowned for their exceptional backpacks, will host the Wonderland Backpack Workshop across five stores in Japan. Participants will have the incredible opportunity to design their own unique items, such as T-shirts and backpack covers, using the artistic technique of cut-paper collage imparted by celebrated children's book author Tomonori Taniguchi.

An Artistic Journey Begins

In this immersive workshop, you will learn the intricacies of cut-paper collage, a favorite method of Taniguchi, who is known for his engaging children's books. Drawing inspiration from your favorite animals, vehicles, or other motifs, you will craft your very own original character. The completed designs will be printed on T-shirts, backpack covers, or tote bags, allowing you to walk away with a one-of-a-kind creation that showcases your artistic flair.

Professional Tools for a Real Art Experience

Participants will utilize tools and materials that Taniguchi himself uses in his book-making process, including specially selected paints, paper, and rollers.
