DCC Acquires TigerPress
Digital Color Concepts (DCC) has taken a significant step forward in its growth strategy by acquiring
TigerPress, a well-established folding carton and commercial print manufacturer. This acquisition not only expands DCC's manufacturing capabilities but also enhances its foothold in the Northeast market.
The announcement, made on November 26, 2024, confirms that TigerPress, located in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, will continue to operate from its existing 100,000-square-foot facility. The acquisition comes just a year after Sherburne Partners invested in DCC, demonstrating the company's commitment to enhancing its operational capacity and customer service.
Founded in 1985, TigerPress has a storied history in the printing industry, evolving from a small print shop into a comprehensive provider of packaging and printing services. The company specializes in various printing techniques, including folding cartons, digital, and large format printing. Under the leadership of Jennifer and Reza Shafii, TigerPress has gained a reputation for quality and innovation, which aligns perfectly with DCC’s mission.
“This partnership is a tremendous opportunity for both companies,” stated
Don Terwilliger, President of DCC. “Not only does it reinforce our commitment to maintaining exceptional customer service, but it also adds valuable resources that will drive long-term growth.”
The acquisition reinforces DCC's market position in the Northeast, allowing it to leverage TigerPress’s expertise and customer-centric approach. Reza Shafii, who previously held the position of President at TigerPress, expressed confidence in DCC's dedication to the company's values: “We’re thrilled to become part of DCC, knowing they will honor our tradition of exceptional customer service and quality,” said Shafii.
Sherburne Partners, a private investment firm based in New York City and DCC's majority shareholder, sees this acquisition as a pivotal moment for DCC’s future growth. “This transaction will significantly bolster our revenue potential across all manufacturing lines and allow us to be a stronger, value-added partner to all our stakeholders,” commented
Oliver Patten, co-Managing Partner at Sherburne.
As both firms integrate their operations, DCC aims to not only maintain but also enhance the quality of service that TigerPress customers have come to expect over the last 39 years. With a shared focus on operational excellence, this partnership is set to benefit both clients and employees.
DCC has established itself as a leader in providing end-to-end print solutions, with a commitment to excellence and sustainability. The acquisition is expected to lead to improved efficiencies and better offerings for clients throughout the Northeast.
