Inland Empire Health Plan Recognized as a Top Caring Company

In a significant acknowledgment of its dedication to service, the Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) has been named one of the 100 Companies That Care by PEOPLE Magazine and Great Place To Work®. This recognition was announced on August 20, 2025, positioning IEHP at number 98 on the esteemed list, which also includes renowned organizations like The Wonderful Company, Edward Jones, and The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated. This achievement marks the second time IEHP has earned this accolade since 2023, reinforcing its reputation as a trusted health plan committed to making a positive impact.

Celebrating a Commitment to Care

Jarrod McNaughton, the CEO of IEHP, expressed the team's pride in receiving this honor, stating that it reflects their unwavering commitment to their mission and values. "We are honored to be featured on PEOPLE's Companies That Care list," he remarked. "This recognition is a testament to our team's commitment to our mission, vision, and values and unwavering dedication to serving our members, providers, and community."

PEOPLE's list highlights companies that excel in recognizing their employees, supporting the communities they serve, and endeavoring to create a better world. To secure its place, IEHP met stringent benchmarks, demonstrating its status as one of the best companies to work for across the nation.

Employee Engagement and Community Impact

Supriya Sood, IEHP's Chief People Officer, noted the deep connection between employee engagement and the community service they provide: "At IEHP, we recognize that the way we engage with our employees mirrors how we serve our communities." The acknowledgment by PEOPLE Magazine is a powerful affirmation of the culture IEHP has cultivated.

The partnership between PEOPLE Magazine and Great Place To Work includes a rigorous process where honorees must employ a minimum of 10 employees in the U.S. and possess the Great Place To Work Certification, which IEHP has maintained for five consecutive years as of June 2025.

This prestigious recognition was rooted in feedback collected through employee surveys submitted for consideration. This year, an impressive over 90% of IEHP's staff, approximately 3,600 team members, took part in the survey, with 88% confirming that they view IEHP as an excellent workplace. Results highlighted the organization’s focus on safety, with 96% of respondents affirming that IEHP is a physically secure place to work. Moreover, 95% reported that the organization offers unique benefits, practices fairness irrespective of background, and promotes a strong work-life balance.

A Vision for Health and Community

Commenting on the role of businesses in community well-being, Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work, stated, "Caring for your people and your community isn't just an afterthought; it's key to making your business successful." This insight underscores the integral connection between exceptional workplace culture and community support.

IEHP, which operates with a mission to heal and inspire the human spirit, is acknowledged as one of the leading Medicaid health plans in the U.S. and as the largest not-for-profit Medicare-Medicaid public health plan nationwide. Founded in 1996, IEHP supports over 1.5 million residents in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties enrolled in either Medicaid or IEHP DualChoice programs, catering to those with Medicare and Medi-Cal. With the introduction of Covered California plans in 2024, IEHP aims to broaden health care access to even more individuals across the region.

Today, IEHP boasts a robust network of quality healthcare providers throughout both counties and employs nearly 4,000 devoted professionals. Their commitment remains steadfast: "We will not rest until our communities enjoy optimal care and vibrant health."
