Celebrating 30 Years of TOKYO MX: The Summer Sumo Tour in Machida

As part of the TOKYO MX 30th Anniversary celebrations, the Sumo Tour returns to Machida after two and a half years! Mark your calendars for December 20, 2025, as the event promises to be an unforgettable experience for both Sumo newbies and avid fans alike.

This exciting Sumo event will take place at the Machida City General Sports Gymnasium, where visitors will get an up-close view of the powerful Sumo wrestlers. Attendees can look forward to various events that cater to all levels of interest in the sport, including thrilling matches, hair-tying demonstrations by popular wrestlers showcasing their distinctive 'Oicho' topknots, and even humorous performances of rare techniques and comical demonstrations. Each moment is designed to entertain while educating attendees about the rich culture of Sumo.

Seat Tickets

- Tamari S Seat: ¥18,000 (includes commemorative cushion)
- Tamari A Seat: ¥16,500 (includes commemorative cushion)
- Pair Masu Seat: ¥28,000 (includes commemorative cushion for two)
- Arena S Seat: ¥12,500
- Arena Wheelchair Seat: ¥28,000 (includes parking; available only through the Sumo Tour ticket office)
- 2nd Floor A Seat: ¥6,500
- 2nd Floor B Seat: ¥4,500
- 2nd Floor Wheelchair Seat: ¥9,000 (includes parking; available only through the Sumo Tour ticket office)

Note: Pair Masu and wheelchair seats are sold in pairs. Footwear is not allowed on the first-floor arena; please bring slippers. Every visitor, including infants, must have a ticket for the first-floor seating (children under school age are not allowed in Tamari S seats). Children under 4 can attend free if seated on a lap in the second-floor seats only (paid seating is required if a separate seat is needed). Attendees in the second floor seating cannot access the first-floor arena.

- Yokozuna Souvenir Ticket with Meal: ¥6,000 (includes Sumo souvenirs, special meal, tea, brochure)
- Ozeki Souvenir Ticket with Meal: ¥4,000 (includes Sumo souvenirs, special meal, tea, brochure)
- Women’s Sumo Souvenir Ticket with Meal: ¥4,000 (includes bath salts, hand and nail cream, special meal, tea, brochure)
- Meal Ticket: ¥2,500 (includes special meal, tea, brochure)

These combo tickets are available by reservation only and will not be sold on the day of the event. Entry with only meal or souvenir tickets is not permitted. All meal contents are the same across ticket types.

Merchandise sales will also be held at the venue (cash only).
