Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Triumphs at A' Design Award 2025
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems Co., Ltd. has proudly announced its remarkable achievement of winning prestigious awards at the A' Design Award 2025 for its innovative products, the KXZ3 multi air conditioning system and the RC-ES1 remote control. This award is highly regarded internationally, celebrating exceptional design quality across various sectors. The Platinum Award is granted only to the top 1% of the entries, while the Gold Award recognizes the top 3% of designs worldwide.
Since its establishment in Italy in 2008, the A' Design Award has aimed to enhance the quality of design globally, to promote understanding and appreciation of excellent design in products, architecture, fashion, and more. The recognition received by Mitsubishi is a testament to its commitment to delivering superior solutions that focus on efficiency and user experience.
Key Features of KXZ3 and RC-ES1
The KXZ3 series stands out for its exceptional energy efficiency and environmental consciousness. It utilizes R32 refrigerant, which has a Global Warming Potential (GWP) approximately one-third that of the conventional R410A refrigerant, thus contributing to significant reductions in environmental impact. With new compressor technology and improved airflow pathways, the KXZ3 boasts an increase in Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) by approximately 18%, illustrating its advanced energy-saving capabilities.
The product's aesthetic has also been given considerable attention with a fresh design featuring blue ornaments by Japan's ID+ design firm. Furthermore, the compact structure of the unit, characterized by its one-fan design and high-density heat exchanger, has led to an approximately 28% reduction in installation space, proving highly advantageous for various building types.
The introduction of new functions, including the "Variable Temperature Capacity Control+" enhances energy efficiency, while the innovative hot gas bypass defrost operation minimizes room temperature drops during heating mode, further establishing KXZ3 as a market leader.
Additionally, safety regulations are met with specialized devices, including a shut-off valve that can connect with multiple indoor units, thereby lowering implementation costs significantly.
On the other hand, the RC-ES1 remote control, designed for commercial spaces such as shops, offices, and hotels, adopts a sleek design from Italy's Tensa Industrial Design. The compact dimensions of 86mm x 86mm x 17mm in a black finish enable it to blend seamlessly with a wide range of interiors.
Intuitive operation is facilitated by pictogram displays on the capacitive touch keys, and it is Bluetooth® enabled, allowing for easy operation and configuration through a dedicated app. The app offers three modes: general user, administrator, and service, catering to diverse user needs and ensuring efficient maintenance.
Moreover, the RC-ES1 has the capability to automatically send setting data to up to 20 remotes within Bluetooth® range, thereby enhancing user workflow and productivity.
Commitment Moving Forward
With this prestigious recognition, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems expresses its determination to continue advancing technological development that aligns with the individual needs of customers. Their unwavering commitment is to provide diverse and innovative heating and cooling solutions tailored to modern lifestyle demands.
