Strategic Merger: JEGI CLARITY and Leonis Partners

In an exciting development for the financial services landscape, JEGI CLARITY, a prominent advisory firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), has officially announced a strategic merger with Leonis Partners, recognized for its expertise in technology transactions and fintech consulting. This partnership melds 37 years of JEGI CLARITY's experience across various sectors, including media, marketing, and legal, with Leonis Partners' 12 years of excellence in advisory services focusing primarily on software and technology transactions.

Building a Premier Global Entity

The newly formed entity, named JEGI CLARITY LEONIS (JCL), will create a leading advisory firm dedicated to M&A and private capital markets, aiming to provide superior services in a rapidly evolving global economy. Upon completion of the merger, JCL is set to establish its headquarters in key financial hubs: New York and London, supported by a talented team of 100 professionals spread across the globe, including significant presence in Sydney and Boston.

With a proven track record, the two firms collectively orchestrated 35 transactions in 2024, approaching a staggering transaction volume of $5 billion, showcasing their capability and momentum leading into 2025.

Leadership to Drive Growth

In North America, the firm will be co-led by Robert Koven, founder and managing partner at Leonis Partners, and Scott Mozarsky, managing director at JEGI CLARITY. Doug Stowe will serve as chairman and chief operating officer, while Wilma Jordan, the founder and CEO of JEGI CLARITY, will transition to the role of executive chairman for North America. Meanwhile, the European operations will be steered by a capable team, ensuring strategic alignment across the company's global footprint and a sharp focus on delivering exceptional client outcomes.

Complementary Expertise

Wilma Jordan remarked, "This merger brings together two well-respected firms with complementary expertise, committed to achieving exceptional results for our clients." Robert Koven added, "The legacy and leadership of JEGI CLARITY are unmatched; by joining forces, we enhance our service offering and broaden our sector coverage, which ultimately benefits our clients."

JCL will primarily focus on transactions ranging between $50 million to $500 million, while also maintaining the ability to manage engagements outside this range. Their expanded sector expertise comprises business services focused on technology, legal services, marketing, media, software, payments, telecommunications, and technology, highlighting the increasingly blended nature of technology and services across these industries.

Diverse Talent Pool

The merger additionally aims to diversify the talent pool, combining extensive experience with fresh perspectives to drive innovation and adaptability in a constantly shifting market landscape. The firms share a cultural alignment with a steadfast dedication to client service and excellence, which positions JCL as a premier M&A advisory firm poised for future growth.

The completion of this merger is anticipated in the second or third quarter of 2025, subject to customary regulatory approvals from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
