In a thoughtful initiative inspired by the seasonal increase in holiday travel, McDonald's Türkiye has launched its latest campaign dubbed "Drink Drive." By creatively twisting the globally recognized safety warning of "Don't Drink and Drive," this campaign leverages the popularity of its McCafé brand to promote road safety.

Creative Approach to a Critical Message


The campaign is designed not just to caution against drinking and driving but to highlight the importance of being alert and responsible on the road, especially during busy travel periods. The distinctive visual identity of McDonald's is cleverly woven into this campaign, transforming the iconic Golden Arches into a striking road design that symbolizes driver focus amidst challenging driving conditions.

With this campaign, they aim to seize the audience's attention by presenting a familiar warning through a playful lens that centers around coffee consumption, inviting drivers to make McCafé their travel companion.

Highlighting Challenging Routes


Designed by the leading agency TBWA\(Istanbul\), the campaign also spotlights some of the most demanding driving routes in Türkiye. The visual narrative incorporates scenic yet challenging stretches like the Kuşyuvası Pass in Konya, known for its arduous 65-kilometer mountain terrain, and the picturesque coastal road from Mersin to Alanya, which spans 330 kilometers. By showcasing these locations, the campaign emphasizes the need for vigilance while driving.

Moreover, the route from Bursa to Domaniç offers a thrilling drive that reaches elevations of 1,500 meters, making it a perfect backdrop for highlighting the importance of road safety.
