Women In Bio's Impactful Events at BIO International 2025
Women In Bio (WIB) is thrilled to announce their participation in the upcoming BIO International conference, taking place in Boston from June 16-19, 2025. As a prominent organization dedicated to empowering women in the life sciences sector, WIB is set to host a series of four exceptional events designed to connect and inspire attendees, all while advancing women's leadership in the field.
A Platform for Change
The conference will kick off with the
EWIB Breakfast on June 16, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM EDT. This breakfast will feature an engaging
Fireside Chat with leading figures in the battle for gender equity in science. Dr. Nancy Hopkins and Pulitzer Prize winner Kate Zernike, author of
The Exceptions, will discuss the revolutionary efforts of women scientists at MIT that transformed the narrative around women in academia. This conversation will not only shed light on their historical fight but also emphasize the significance of continuing this advocacy today.
Flipping the Script on Women's Health
On June 17, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM EDT, WIB will hold a
Plenary Event titled
Flipping the Script – Powerful Narratives in Women's Health Innovation. As the investment landscape grows increasingly competitive, effectively communicating compelling stories is vital. This panel will include industry leaders like
Seema Kumar (CEO of Cure),
Kristen Dahlgren (Founder of Cancer Vaccine Coalition), and
Claire Love (Partner at PwC). They will share insights on how to craft narratives that resonate with diverse stakeholders, illuminating the path to breakthroughs in funding and innovation in women's health.
Rapid Connections at Speed Networking
Midway through the conference, on June 18, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM EDT, attendees can participate in a high-energy
Speed Networking session. This event, hosted on the Exhibition Floor at Booth #3584, is designed for quick conversations that spark connections among women and allies in life sciences. Each participant will have just 90 seconds to introduce themselves and explore potential collaborations—a fast-paced event aimed at maximizing networking opportunities.
Evening of Connection and Collaboration
Later that same day, WIB will host
Sip, Savor, Socialize – Women In Bio Executive Cohorts Networking from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM EDT. This relaxed cocktail reception invites WIB executive members to connect and share insights in an inspiring atmosphere. It’s an excellent opportunity for established professionals to build relationships and engage in meaningful dialogue.
