Launching 'Regional Revitalization 2.0' - New Policies and Case Studies Overview

Seminar on 'Regional Revitalization 2.0'

On July 24, 2025, JPI (Japan Planning Institute) will host a seminar featuring Rika Kishida, Deputy Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat's new regional economy and living environment revitalization office. The seminar will focus on the newly launched 'Regional Revitalization 2.0,' discussing new policies and successful case studies.

Overview of the Encounter

It's been a decade since the start of regional revitalization efforts in Japan. During this time, numerous successful case studies across the country have emerged, signaling tangible results from revitalization initiatives. However, challenges such as the concentration of population in the Tokyo metropolitan area and the declining population in rural regions remain critical issues. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Ishiba, Japan is stepping into a new stage, 'Regional Revitalization 2.0.' This seminar will provide insights into these new initiatives as well as reflect on previous efforts in regional revitalization.

3. Policies aimed at achieving 'Regional Revitalization 2.0.'
4. Presentation of successful case studies.
5. Q&A session related to the seminar topics.
6. Networking and exchange meeting.

Participants will have the opportunity to exchange business cards and network with both the lecturer and fellow attendees, which can significantly contribute to business expansion.
