POWERCHINA Takes Action for Global Happiness

On March 20, 2025, the world celebrates the International Day of Happiness. In line with this vision, Power Construction Corporation of China, commonly known as POWERCHINA, has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing global welfare through impactful projects in Peru and Kenya. These initiatives highlight how international cooperation can foster a brighter and happier future for communities across the globe.

Significant Contributions in Peru

In Peru, education is recognized as a significant pillar for enduring societal happiness, and POWERCHINA has taken the initiative to upgrade educational infrastructure. Recently, the company completed the construction of the Nuestra Señora de Fátima School in Sullana City. This modern facility spans over 3,380 square meters and boasts three buildings, a stadium, and 18 classrooms equipped with multimedia resources, addressing the needs of more than 400 students.

POWERCHINA has also completed two additional schools in Lima, namely Number 2096 Perú Japon and Number 2100 Juan Velasco Alvarado, catering to almost 2,300 students altogether. These schools feature classrooms, offices, libraries, and sports facilities designed to enhance the quality of education in the region. Peruvian President Dina Boluarte personally acknowledged POWERCHINA's efforts, emphasizing the importance of modern educational institutions in nurturing Peru's future.

The schools constructed align with the Bicentennial Schools Program and represent a significant investment in Peru's educational landscape. By improving learning environments and providing vital educational tools, POWERCHINA seeks to empower children and prepare them for success in a dynamic world.

Advancing Agriculture in Kenya

In Kenya, POWERCHINA is making strides toward agricultural sustainability with its ambitious Nzoia Irrigation Project. This key initiative aims to bolster food security and stimulate economic growth in the region. The project encompasses 74 kilometers of irrigation channels, 31 kilometers of drainage, and a total of 3,901 hectares of leveled land, positively impacting approximately 12,500 farming families.

Kenyan President William Ruto attended the groundbreaking ceremony of this significant project and emphasized the importance of efficient water management in improving food security and accelerating economic resilience. The irrigation system is set to irrigate 4,500 hectares of land, significantly enhancing agricultural productivity and providing new employment opportunities.

To maximize construction during the dry season, POWERCHINA is determined to ensure the project runs smoothly and yields high-quality results. This initiative exemplifies how investments in agriculture can uplift communities and contribute to their long-term happiness.
