Expansion of AI Features in Rental Management Cloud to Enhance Property Management Efficiency

Introduction

The real estate industry continues to grapple with outdated processes, particularly in financial management, where manual entry still reigns supreme. In this context, iSeikatsu (株式会社いい生活), a Tokyo-based leader in proptech, has recently embarked on a proof of concept (PoC) for its rental management cloud platform, integrating an AI-based reconciliation assistance feature.

Background of the Initiative

Traditionally, the task of reconciling payments in property management has depended largely on manual intervention, leading to inefficiencies. Disparities such as variations in nomenclature—like the presence of kanji and English in the same payment records—have only added to the difficulty of accurate matching. This situation persists despite the technological advancements witnessed in other sectors. iSeikatsu aims to combat this through the deployment of cutting-edge generative AI technology that understands the context of transfer names to draw inferences about their similarity, thus enabling sophisticated, automated reconciliation processes.

Goals of the AI Integration

The primary focus of this PoC is to assess how effectively the AI function can optimize the efficiency of accounting tasks within real estate finance. By reducing reliance on human memory and experience, the new feature targets the entrenched issues of subjectivity in financial operations, paving the way for a more standardized and automated approach to reconciliation in property management.

Security Measures

Data security remains a priority for iSeikatsu, encapsulated in three core strategies:
1. Structural Separation: The company maintains a physical and operational divide between internal workstations and client data management systems to thwart potential cyber threats. This isolation ensures that even if a company PC faces a virus attack, it does not compromise the broader SaaS environment.
2. Zero Trust Architecture: Embracing a zero-trust model, every access attempt is scrutinized akin to airport security checks. This philosophy underpins rigorous multi-factor authentication (MFA) protocols to maintain utmost security.
3. Cloud Native Design: Instead of relying on Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), iSeikatsu employs a browser and API-based approach which inherently limits pathways for virus infiltration, thereby enhancing security architecture against unwanted threats.

Furthermore, iSeikatsu has secured international certifications in information security management (ISO/IEC 27001), cloud security (ISO/IEC 27017), and IT service management (ISO/IEC 20000), underscoring its commitment to upholding high standards within the realm of data protection.

Continuous Innovation and Commitment
