Saudi Mabani Aljazeera Group Makes Landmark Investment in Jabali Towers Project in Tatu City, Kenya

Saudi Mabani Aljazeera Group Invests in Jabali Towers Project

The Mabani Aljazeera Holding Group, a leading Saudi Arabian construction and investment firm, has decided to invest in the Jabali Towers project, a flagship mixed-use development situated in the heart of Tatu City, Kenya's Special Economic Zone (SEZ). This significant stake acquired by Mabani through its subsidiary, Swan Properties, not only highlights the growing trust from Saudi investors but also emphasizes Tatu City's remarkable allure for foreign direct investment in Kenya.

Located in a rapidly developing region, the Jabali Towers, consisting of 25 and 36-story skyscrapers, promise exceptional amenities for residents as well as 35 restaurants and shops open to the public. Impressively, more than 80% of the first tower has already been sold. Just recently, Tatu City has appointed the China Road and Bridge Corporation as the principal contractor for this expansive development project, which spans over 88,000 square meters.

Abdullah AlMalki, Chairman of Mabani Group, expressed enthusiasm about the investment, stating, "We are excited to invest in the groundbreaking Jabali Towers project in Tatu City. By combining our expertise, building materials, and capital, Jabali Towers will emerge as the most prominent real estate project in Africa."

Mabani holds a 50% minus one share in the Jabali Towers development company, with Rendeavour, the owner and developer of Tatu City, as the majority shareholder. This joint venture has garnered praise from the Saudi Export Import Bank, which aims to promote the development and diversification of Saudi exports and enhance their competitiveness in global markets.

Stephen Jennings, founder and CEO of Rendeavour, remarked, "The investment from Mabani Aljazeera Holding Group and Swan Properties in Tatu City and Kenya relies on Rendeavour's 20-year track record of keeping its promises in Africa. Every year, Tatu City attracts more than half of all foreign direct investment in Kenya, and we are in discussions with numerous Saudi investors interested in investing in Kenya. We are thrilled that Swan Properties is taking a lead role in this venture."

Jabali Towers offers studio apartments and units with one, two, or three bedrooms starting from 10.2 million KES (approximately 78,200 USD), providing homeownership opportunities in Kenya's leading mixed-use SEZ. The project benefits from over 15 years of infrastructure investments in Tatu City, including a 24-hour clean water supply, 99.7% electricity availability, high-speed fiber-optic internet connections, and over 70 kilometers of international-standard roads, reflecting the infrastructure expected of a modern metropolis.

The long-term appeal of Jabali Towers is augmented by Tatu City’s unique “Live-Work-Play” ecosystem. Scheduled to open in 2028, the Wellington College International Kenya is expected to further enhance the city’s attractiveness for Kenyan families, expatriates, and professionals seeking a top-notch education within a safe, master-planned environment.

Residents will also enjoy more than 100 kilometers of hiking and biking trails, parks, lakes, and expansive green spaces. By late 2026, the Tatu Wildlife Sanctuary, the world’s first urban conservation area, will open, thus confirming Tatu City's vision of integrating nature with modern urban life.

Developed by Rendeavour, Africa’s emerging city builder, Tatu City stands as the continent’s fastest-growing urban site. With more than 7,000 residents and a yearly growth rate exceeding 40%, Tatu City welcomes over 35,000 daily visitors engaged in its integrated ecosystem of living, working, learning, and leisure. With over 3.5 billion USD invested, Tatu City houses over 110 businesses, schools with more than 6,000 students, and 3,500 residences catering to various income levels, either occupied or under construction.
