Huawei Unveils AI Education Center Solution (AIEC)
During the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona, Huawei showcased its groundbreaking initiative titled "Education + AI, Embracing an Intelligent Future." This event marked the introduction of the AI Education Center (AIEC) solution, developed in collaboration with educational stakeholders and partners spanning the industry, with a mission to expedite the growth and expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) education globally.
Li Junfeng, Huawei's Vice President and General Manager of Global Public Sector BU, emphasized that the future of AI education revolves around creating accessible entry points and broad reaching coverage. As a key technology provider and ecosystem creator within digital and intelligent learning domains, Huawei is committed to working alongside partners to craft innovative education solutions tailored to specific scenarios in the AI sector. This initiative aims to enhance AI education in primary and secondary schooling, opening up new avenues for every student to delve into the tech-centric world of tomorrow.
The AIEC solution leverages a robust hardware computing infrastructure along with model services, application platforms, and a teaching management system, complemented by AI laboratories. Its comprehensive approach offers systematic AI education, practical applications, and teaching resources for students across all age groups in foundational education settings. In doing so, it equips students with vital skills necessary for future societal demands and lays a solid foundation for national technological innovations and industrial modernization.
Currently deployed in China’s Zhejiang province, the AIEC initiative collaborates with partners like CourseGrading to provide AI-focused educational platforms for over 500 primary and secondary institutions. This advanced platform features AI computational power, open-source large models, over ten AI practical projects, and more than 50 experimental tools and applications. With ambitions to reach one million students, Huawei continues to establish educational access and innovation for learners at various stages of development.
At the same event, Huawei launched a global demonstration project for the AI Education Platform (AIEC) in partnership with Pui Kiu Middle School, highlighting practical applications of AI technologies in secondary education. This initiative promotes innovative AI implementations in educational settings and provides scalable, replicable models for digital transformation efforts worldwide.
The AIEC solution by Huawei represents a significant milestone in the intersection of education and artificial intelligence. Looking forward, Huawei strives to serve as a technological bridge, fostering an open ecosystem with global partners. Their commitment is to nurture the potential of every child, collaboratively forging a future where educational equality and technological advancement go hand in hand.
