Mila-Bo Inc., a Tokyo-based company specializing in municipal services, has announced the launch of its digital maternal and child health solutions, which include the health app 'mila-e (ミライー) おやこ手帳' and an online reservation service 'mila-e 予約'. The services will begin operations in Arao City, Kumamoto Prefecture, starting in October 2025.
Background of 'mila-e' Implementation
Arao City has been actively engaging in various child-rearing support initiatives, aiming to provide seamless support throughout pregnancy and parenting stages. To accomplish this, the city is utilizing the 'Maternal and Child Health Subsidy Program' funded by the national government and collaborating with Mila-Bo to introduce its innovative applications.
By integrating 'mila-e おやこ手帳' and 'mila-e 予約', users will receive notifications for parenting information from their municipality directly through push notifications. They can also seamlessly access online surveys during the issuance of the maternal and child health handbook, schedule appointments for consultations, and change appointment dates for health check-ups—all through their smartphones. This setup significantly reduces the hassle associated with making phone calls during designated hours, ultimately alleviating the burdens faced by parenting households.
