XCMG Hosts Global Mining Summit Focused on Zero-Carbon Technologies

XCMG's Global Mining Summit: Pioneering Zero-Carbon Solutions

From August 20 to 22, XCMG Machinery held an influential global summit focused on innovative solutions for zero-carbon mining in Xuzhou and Hulunbuir. This summit assembled industry leaders and experts under the theme 'Solid Innovation for Green Mining,' emphasizing the significance of sustainable practices and intelligent mining solutions.

XCMG showcased a variety of comprehensive and mature solutions committed to advancing green technologies in the mining sector. With over 200 international clients in attendance, participants were introduced to XCMG's advanced energy-storage solutions, new energy technologies, and integrated mining equipment solutions for both surface and underground mining environments. For the first time, 80 new units of innovative mining equipment were displayed in operational scenarios, including battery-swappable vehicles and refurbished core components aimed at enhancing the economic efficiency across the complete life cycle of open-pit mines.

The summit culminated on August 22 with discussions featuring industry titans, technology pioneers, and academic leaders from over 30 countries, tackling solutions for carbon elimination, safety enhancement, and cost optimization. Using the open-pit Yimin Mine as a case study, XCMG presented its full-chain intelligent mining solutions, featuring the world’s first fully electric and autonomous mining truck, the ZNK95, which has reached commercialization.

Furthermore, XCMG has developed the world's first collaborative operational system, effectively coordinating multiple pieces of equipment on mining sites, including spray systems, loaders, graders, and haul trucks, significantly improving operational efficiency. The company’s diverse range of new energy mining equipment encompasses the entire process of drilling, excavation, transport, crushing, and auxiliary processes, featuring unique solutions from battery components to green energy infrastructures like wind and solar power.

During the summit, XCMG also launched the 'Joint Declaration on Zero-Emission Intelligent Mining' in collaboration with 107 companies from 26 countries, committing to collectively advance sustainable and low-carbon development worldwide. This declaration encompasses 12 key areas, including electrification, automation, personnel-free operations, net-zero emissions, circular economy, technology sharing, and international cooperation in intelligent mining and maintenance.

Shan Zenghai, Vice President and Chief Engineer of XCMG, shared insights into new energy supplies, energy-efficient equipment, and personnel-free mining solutions, aiming to identify best practices in intelligent, zero-emission mining. 'As a global leader in zero-carbon smart mining solutions, XCMG is dedicated to overcoming industry bottlenecks by integrating new energy equipment, intelligent control systems, and comprehensive lifecycle services. We are addressing four major challenges: energy infrastructure, energy equipment portfolios, intelligent mining management systems, and financial support, to help our clients achieve both commercial success and environmental victories,' stated Yang Dongsheng, President and CEO of XCMG.

The Global Mining Summit marks a significant step for XCMG in reinforcing its role as a complete industrial partner, moving beyond heavy machinery provision to align with global initiatives for sustainability and intelligent mining practices.
