A Unique Gourmet Experience in Celebration of 100 Years of Ginza Aster

On September 16, 2026, Ginza Aster, located in Tokyo's Chuo ward, will host an exclusive dinner event in collaboration with renowned champagne house Perrier-Jouet. This celebration marks a remarkable milestone for Ginza Aster, which has been dedicated to providing authentic Chinese cuisine to Japanese palates since its founding in 1926.

The event will feature Christopher Schuvier, the Senior Champagne Brand Ambassador from Perrier-Jouet, who will share insights into the philosophy behind their exceptional champagnes as well as the storied history of the house. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a carefully crafted multi-course meal designed by the head chef of Ginza Aster, Chef Kakebu, specifically for this occasion. The theme of the evening, "The Resonance of Shanghai Cuisine and Game – Savoring the Deepening Autumn in Japan," will showcase the artistry of Shanghai culinary techniques combined with seasonal ingredients selected from various regions across Japan.

A Culinary Journey into Autumn

Ginza Aster’s culinary team will skillfully incorporate flavors from the ocean and the mountains, alongside unique game dishes like duck and wild boar, all while highlighting the techniques characteristic of Chinese cuisine to enhance the natural flavors of these premium ingredients. This special course, with its blend of robust and delicate flavors, promises to be an extraordinary experience available only on this night.

Moreover, attendees can look forward to a sparkling selection of five Perrier-Jouet champagnes, including the classic "Perrier-Jouet Grand Brut," the elegant "Blason Rosé," the refined "Blanc de Blancs," vintage cuvee "Belle Epoque 2018," and the rare find "Belle Epoque 2007," which is seldom available to the public. Each champagne will be expertly paired with the courses, allowing guests to discover a delightful marriage between the delicate, elegant tastes of champagne and the bold flavors of Chinese cuisine.

A Legacy of Excellence

Ginza Aster, rooted in tradition since its establishment, has continuously evolved to meet the demands of modern dining while maintaining its dedication to authentic Chinese cooking. The partnership with Perrier-Jouet, a house recognized for its artistic flair and craftsmanship for over 200 years, marks a fitting tribute to Ginza Aster's century-long commitment to excellence in cuisine.

This unique gastronomic experience is limited to 25 attendees, ensuring an intimate setting for guests to enjoy this one-night-only celebration.
