An Insight into the Future of Furniture in Shanghai

The upcoming Furniture China 2025 and Maison Shanghai events, scheduled from September 9 to 13, 2025, promise to be a landmark in the global furniture industry. Hosted in the bustling Pudong area of Shanghai, this year marks the 30th anniversary of Furniture China, a trade fair that has continuously highlighted innovations and trends in furniture design.

This remarkable event will span across 50 exhibition halls within two major venues: the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) and the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center (SWEECC). With over 3,200 exhibitors participating, and an anticipated 200,000 visitors flocking in from around the globe, the fair will showcase a staggering 350,000 square meters of exhibition space dedicated to the latest furniture collections, innovative designs, and sustainable solutions.

A Closer Look at the Events

Among the standout features of this year’s event will be a specialized pavilion dedicated to outdoor furniture located in Hall E8B at SNIEC. This pavilion will be complemented by outdoor design exhibits in Hall E6 and well-known outdoor brands in Hall N2. Attendees can expect to discover an impressive range of weather-resistant loungers, modular seating solutions, dining sets, and eco-friendly accessories designed to transform outdoor spaces into elegant yet cozy environments.

As sustainable business practices gain traction, a dedicated exhibition themed around sustainable ventures will also take place (Booth E5D12, SNIEC). This section is set to promote visionary concepts focused on ecology, featuring engaging installations that advocate for recycling and low-carbon designs.

In parallel with Furniture China, the FMC China and FMC Premium fairs will showcase leading companies in the domain of furniture components, raw materials, and manufacturing technologies, offering invaluable insights into the latest driving forces behind excellence in the furniture industry. Global exhibitors from over 15 countries will present cutting-edge technologies, positioning FMC as a pivotal link between design ingenuity and industrial production.
