Eviva Partners Launches New Think Tank to Combat Misinformation on Aluminium Vaccines

Eviva Partners, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the public's understanding of medical evidence, has officially launched a new think tank called "Protecting Our Health" (POH). This initiative aims to bring together global experts in communication, public health, and the fight against misinformation at a time when pseudoscientific claims are increasingly influential. Alex Morozov, the CEO and founder of Eviva, expressed the organization's goal: to enable people to make informed, evidence-based decisions regarding their health. As he stated, "The introduction of evidence-based interventions in healthcare has been significant, but their adoption remains inconsistent, resulting in gaps in care." He emphasized the growing necessity of such efforts in light of ongoing attacks against scientific truths.

POH stands firm on three guiding principles. First, it seeks to bring the public back to science by empowering individuals to discern robust medical evidence from pseudoscientific claims. Second, it prioritizes inclusion, understanding the diverse needs of different communities, and empowering them through data-driven communication. Lastly, Eviva firmly believes in maintaining independence from industry funding, relying instead on a coalition of philanthropists to support its mission.

The launch of POH aligns with recent op-ed contributions by Morozov, vaccine expert Dr. Helen Petousis-Harris, and board member Professor Stephan Lewandowsky, which were published in major media outlets like MSNBC. Their editorial highlights the coordinated attack from figures such as Robert F. Kennedy Jr., aimed at undermining confidence in aluminium-containing vaccines. They argue that there is no scientific basis for the claims against aluminium; a comprehensive study involving over 1.2 million children from Denmark found no link between aluminium in vaccines and chronic diseases, including autism.

The editorial warns that should anti-vaccine activists manage to foster doubt about the safety of aluminium-containing vaccines, the repercussions could be dire. Vaccine-preventable diseases, such as diphtheria, meningitis, hepatitis, as well as cancers associated with viral infections like cervical and penile cancers, could see a resurgence, leading to significant morbidity and mortality. It's also emphasized that autism rates, which have remained stable over decades, would be unaffected by vaccine hesitancy.

POH is not merely a campaign — it is a call to action. By uniting evidence, storytelling, and community engagement, Eviva and POH aim to mend the wounds inflicted by misinformation and pave a future rooted in evidence-based practices, empowerment, and health equity for all. The call is clear: the time to act is now, and the health of future generations may depend on it.
