POMiE Opens New Lifestyle Store Featuring African Roses and Coffee in Hiroo

POMiE Unveils Unique Lifestyle Store in Hiroo

POMiE, the innovative share salon operator based in Shibuya, Tokyo, has launched an exciting new venture in Hiroo, featuring a novel lifestyle store aimed at immersing visitors in the diverse experiences the African continent has to offer. Named nia -AFRIKA ROSE & CAFE BAR HIROO, this establishment is set to delight the senses with its selection of African roses, specialty coffee, and wines sourced from Africa.

Partnership for a New Experience

In collaboration with Asante, a company renowned for importing and selling African roses, POMiE is responsible for the planning, development, and interior design of the new store. Under a partnership agreement, Asante will manage the operations of the store, allowing them to showcase their brand while also facilitating the sale of authentic African products.

This project uniquely leverages the strengths of both companies, ensuring a shared approach that highlights their respective expertise. POMiE has taken charge of the store's infrastructure, concept development, and space design, whereas Asante handles everything from product development to customer service.

A Sensory Journey Through Africa

Visitors can expect to experience the vitality of Kenyan roses, elite African specialty coffee, and an array of distinctive wines, mainly from South Africa. Each product captures the essence of African biodiversity, with the aim of creating a space where urban dwellers can engage with the wealth of African culture through smell, sight, taste, conversation, and ambiance. This new locale is more than just a store; it is a haven for those looking to explore the richness of African life.

Revival Through Community Support

Interestingly, the rebirth of AFRIKA ROSE in Hiroo was made possible through a successful crowdfunding campaign. Inspired by a desire to reconnect Tokyo with the allure of Africa, this initiative sought support from those who value sustainability and local employment through trade. Over 338 supporters rallied behind the cause, allowing for the successful establishment of the store.

During the pre-opening phase, loyal customers and community members welcomed the revived business with open arms, showing a strong interest in supporting the project. This initiative was born out of the empathy and passion shared between the brand and its patrons, and it already promises to be a new highlight within Hiroo.
