Mantle Global Hackathon 2025: A Global Stage for Web3 Innovators in RWA and AI

Mantle Global Hackathon 2025: Celebrating Innovation

In an inspiring showcase of talent and creativity, the Mantle Global Hackathon 2025 has successfully concluded, inviting over 2,000 developers from around the world to contribute innovative projects focused on real-world assets (RWAs) and artificial intelligence (AI). This year’s event distinguished itself with an impressive 25.4% conversion rate from registered participants, far surpassing the industry standard of 10-15%.

Overview of the Hackathon

Launched on October 22, 2025, this four-month initiative culminated in a remarkable 519 project submissions, emphasizing the motivation and ingenuity of developers within the Web3 ecosystem. The hackathon was organized through a partnership among key players, including Mantle, OpenBuild, HackQuest, and numerous ecosystem partners, fostering a collaborative environment that inspired innovation.

Ecosystem Growth and Global Integration

The success of the hackathon was largely due to targeted strategies aimed at engaging developers globally. High-density online workshops and offline meetups took place in major tech hubs such as Shenzhen and Shanghai. Furthermore, builder interviews and engagement sessions across India, Indonesia, Africa, and South America provided localized insights, focusing on areas like DeFi (Decentralized Finance) and consumer payments.

Key highlights included:
  • - Technical Enablement: The Mantle Mentor Clinic Livestream featured past winners from ETHGlobal and Mantle APAC, providing mentorship and enhancing the visibility of participant projects.
  • - Data-Driven Insights: The diversity of the 2,000+ participants highlighted a robust multi-chain talent pool. Specifically, of the 2,000+ builders, 550 were Ethereum-native, alongside significant segments from Solana, Base, and Polygon. This cross-chain perspective enriched the overall submissions.
  • - Skill Distribution: The skill sets of the developers were notably varied, with the following programming languages in prominence: JavaScript (62.05%), TypeScript (56.89%), and Solidity (32.34%).

The areas that saw the most innovation included RWA/RealFi and DeFi, while other segments such as AI, Infrastructure, and GameFi also contributed significantly to the overall project landscape.

Strategic Partnerships and Digital Identity

The role of partners was crucial in driving participation rates. OpenBuild, for instance, contributed 124 registrations and assisted in elevating 45 high-quality projects that resonated with Mantle’s focus on AI and RWAs. The innovative DevCard initiative, developed with Web3insight.AI, facilitated the activation of on-chain identities for 196 developers, which led to invitations for 47 teams to collaborate directly.

The Road to Demo Day: Prize Opportunities

Following a rigorous selection process, 30 finalists have been chosen to present their projects at the Demo Day occurring on February 3-4, 2026. The evaluation criteria focus on technical innovation, commercial viability, and ecosystem alignment. Winners of this contest will be awarded a share of the $150,000 prize pool, which includes a $30,000 Grand Prize and various track-specific awards. Apart from monetary rewards, winning teams will gain expedited access to Mantle EcoFund grants and invaluable incubation support.
