Qblox Enhances Quantum Computing with NVIDIA DGX Spark Integration
In a significant milestone for hybrid quantum computing, Qblox, a leader in scalable quantum control architecture, has integrated NVIDIA DGX Spark with its quantum control systems utilizing the advanced NVIDIA NVQLink technology. This integration marks a major step in achieving real-time hybrid quantum-classical computing capabilities.
The integration allows for exceptionally low round-trip latency: under 4.0 microseconds on the NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell and under 7.2 microseconds on the NVIDIA DGX Spark. This low-latency performance is crucial as it paves the way for applications that require seamless interaction between classical and quantum computations, giving researchers and engineers the tools needed to innovate further in the quantum realm.
One of the core benefits of this advancement lies in Qblox's ability to support real-time applications through a unique desktop system capable of hosting quantum workloads, AI, and simulations. By harnessing NVIDIA's CUDA-Q technology, the same code can be smoothly transitioned from desktop systems to GPU data center servers as computational demands evolve.
The introduction of GPU acceleration into the real-time control loop is a pivotal element enabling the scalability of quantum systems, essential for managing logical qubits. Qblox's Q1 sequencing processors and LINQ systems are designed to cater to the low-latency and high-throughput requirements vital for consolidating their cluster's functionality with GPUs. Furthermore, GPU-accelerated calibration routines are capable of updating qubit parameters dynamically during experiments rather than in between them, enhancing the efficiency of quantum error correction processes.
With GPU syndrome data reaching the decoders with minimal latency, immediate identification and rectification of errors become feasible, crucial for maintaining the integrity of quantum information. This capability indicates a robust framework that can adapt rapidly to the fluctuating needs of quantum experimentation.
This remarkable achievement builds upon previous collaborative efforts between Qblox and NVIDIA, including the announcement of NVQLink integration in October 2025 and the real-time support for the NVIDIA CUDA-Q API in March 2026. The evolution of architecture to measured hardware performance effectively demonstrates Qblox's dedication to providing the low-latency capabilities necessary for connecting quantum control systems with real-time GPU computations.
Niels Bultink, CEO and co-founder of Qblox, emphasized the interdependence of quantum computers and their classical control systems. “Quantum computers can only scale at the pace of their classical control systems,” he stated. “With these advancements, GPUs become integral to this control loop, giving quantum systems real-time access to the computational power they require. Qblox takes pride in collaborating with NVQLink from NVIDIA to advance GPU integration and bring faster calibration and error correction to the quantum sector.”
Sam Stanwyck, NVIDIA’s Director of Quantum Products, remarked on the groundbreaking implications of this integration: “DGX Spark places an AI supercomputer on the desk of a quantum computing researcher. The fusion of Qblox with NVQLink and CUDA-Q connects this computational power to quantum hardware, weaving simulation, real-time calibration, and error correction into a single development platform. Researchers can conceptualize and test new methodologies at their desktops and then scale the same codebase to GPU supercomputers as their quantum systems grow.”
