Exploring Digital Detox: Insights from the Meditation Event at A-Point TAKESHIBA

Recap of the Digital Detox Meditation Event at A-Point TAKESHIBA

On June 26, 2025, Asuno System Co., Ltd., which operates one of Japan’s largest conference room search platforms, hosted an engaging digital detox meditation event at their coworking space, A-Point TAKESHIBA, located in Tokyo's Minato Ward. The event was organized under their well-being service brand, Olive, and led by meditation instructor Anju Ishizaki, who also guides meditation content within the Olive service.

The workshop aimed to address digital detoxification and cognitive clarity. Participants began by assessing their individual stress levels using a checklist, allowing them to quantitatively recognize their stress. This initial step provided insight into personal stress triggers and prepared them for the subsequent meditation practice.

Anju Ishizaki shared her experiences and scientific data explaining the profound impact meditation and mindfulness can have on stress reduction. After participants understood the benefits of meditation, they were guided through a practical session lasting 15 minutes. Ishizaki emphasized common hurdles that beginners face and offered practical advice on overcoming these challenges during meditation.

Feedback from attendees reflected the insights gained during the session: many were surprised to learn they could meditate while seated instead of on a yoga mat, which altered their perception of meditation as a more accessible practice. Participants expressed a desire to incorporate meditation into their daily lives, with comments such as “It was challenging, but I feel refreshed.” This event served not only as a meditation introduction but as a pivotal shift in how participants view personal well-being practices.

Additionally, the event featured a unique 360-degree VR program that immersed participants in stunning visuals, replicating serene environments such as a starry sky or an underwater scene. This multisensory approach further enhanced the overall experience of the event, making it a memorable occasion for all.

Asuno System, which prides itself on being a company that creates a better tomorrow, continues to contribute to sustainable societal development through innovative services.

She studied various styles of meditation, including Indonesian Balinese meditation, Buddhist practices, yoga philosophy, and New York-style meditation, to enrich her understanding and promote mindfulness and health.
