Ramp Expands Reach with Official Launch in the United Kingdom

Ramp Expands Its Presence by Launching in the UK

In a significant move for corporate finance, Ramp has made its debut in the United Kingdom, broadening its reach beyond North America. On September 15, 2026, the company announced the official launch of its platform, allowing UK businesses to leverage its sophisticated financial management tools. This step follows Ramp's expansion into Canada earlier this year, marking a pivotal moment in its international growth strategy.

With over 70,000 businesses already utilizing Ramp, including renowned firms like Shopify and Virgin Voyages, the platform has established a strong reputation for simplifying expense management. Users benefit from features like corporate card management, bill payments, procurement processes, and treasury services all in one integrated platform. Impressively, Ramp's median customer reports a 5% reduction in expenses and a 16% increase in revenue within their first year of using the service.

Ramp has entered the UK market with the advantage of regulated payments capabilities, enhanced by its acquisition of Billhop, a payments provider based in Stockholm and London. This acquisition provides Ramp with the necessary regulatory authorization to offer payment solutions in both the UK and EU. With growing teams in London and Stockholm, Ramp has already begun onboarding European customers after a successful beta test.

Jacob Wallenberg, VP of International Expansion at Ramp, highlighted the UK as a fertile ground for scaling companies, emphasizing the tailored approach Ramp has taken for this market. Currently, UK companies have been integrating into the platform since summer, with AI voice agent firm ElevenLabs among those already benefiting from Ramp's advanced operations.

ElevenLabs uses Ramp for various financial tasks, including bill payment and corporate card management, facilitating significant efficiency gains; its team of finance professionals saves around 24 hours each month thanks to Ramp's automation features, which handle 99% of invoices and 99.8% of card transactions.

Maciej Mylik from ElevenLabs remarked on the necessity of evolving finance processes alongside research and product development, which reinforces Ramp's capability to streamline financial operations.

In addition to supporting businesses in their finance management, Ramp collaborates with Visa to enhance its corporate card offerings within the UK. Lucy Demery, SVP of Head of Visa Commercial Solutions for Europe, acknowledged the vibrancy of the UK market and expressed eagerness for the partnership that aims to innovate B2B payments significantly.

With the rise of AI spending—reported to surge 21 times since mid-2025—Ramp's launch comes at a crucial time. Organizations face challenges in managing token spend, which is unpredictable and often fragmented across various providers. Wallenberg noted that the primary concern is not excessive spending on AI, but rather uninformed expenditure. Ramp's token spend intelligence tools provide detailed insights into spending patterns, enabling firms to identify cost-saving opportunities effectively.

Ramp's expansion aligns with a recent surge in product innovations, including the launch of the Ramp Stack, an AI operating system tailored for accounting functions, and enhancements in token spend management capabilities.

Additionally, the company achieved a remarkable $750 million funding round at a valuation of $44 billion in June, followed by the introduction of its services in Canada just the month prior. Ramp’s financial infrastructure continues to transform how businesses approach spending and budgeting, making it a powerful ally for companies navigating today’s dynamic financial landscape.
