Celebrating a Milestone in Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration

In a significant achievement for environmental conservation, AquaTech Eco Consultants, in collaboration with the Ecosphere Restoration Institute, has successfully restored 100 acres of Submerged Aquatic Vegetation (SAV) in Florida. This project, supported by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, represents one of the largest statewide SAV restoration initiatives in the state's history. The impact of this project is expected to ripple through Florida’s fragile marine ecosystems, benefiting fish, shellfish, and even the iconic manatees that rely on these underwater grass meadows for sustenance.

We’re particularly excited that another 70 acres are already permitted and under contract, indicating that our efforts are scaling up and prioritizing the restoration of these vital ecosystems.”

The initiative covers all five Water Management Districts in Florida and builds on previous successes in Bay County and Gulf County. AquaTech Eco Consultants also has permits to restore over 86 additional acres in Martin, Bay, and Gulf Counties, ensuring that future projects can begin without delay.
