BEYOND's Special Workshop for Aspiring Student Athletes
On April 25, 2026, a special workshop was organized by BEYOND, a personal gym operated by World Fit Co., Ltd., aimed at student athletes aspiring to compete at the national level. This event took place at Mikamo Nature House in Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture, during a training camp conducted by the badminton school "Kingdom", led by national representative coaches Youji Nakanishi and Yasuhiro Nonaka, along with former Japan representative coach Akari Sato.
The camp was designed for students from elementary to high school who are serious about their badminton skills. Among the highlights of the day was a training workshop led by BEYOND’s head trainer, Yamane, focused on injury prevention and enhancing athletic performance. In addition, a nutrition seminar was conducted by nutritionist Yoshinari from the BEYOND Ginza store. This seminar emphasized the importance of nutrition in building a strong body, particularly aimed at the growth stages of student athletes, providing them essential knowledge to improve their conditioning.
Importance of Physical Development
Recently, the landscape of student sports has evolved to highlight the significance of physical development alongside technical training. With an increasing emphasis on long-term athletic performance, it is crucial to focus on injury prevention and nutrition management. The workshop did not just focus on strength training; it critically examined the reasons behind specific movements and how these can contribute to improving competitive performance.
During the nutrition seminar, students learned about the impact of their daily diets on their physical development and performance during competitions. This engaging format, combining theory with practical application, allowed participants to glean new insights vital for enhancing their athletic capabilities.
The attendees immersed themselves in practical learning, gaining a fresh perspective on what is required to elevate their performance levels.
