Experience a Unique Day of Dog Accessory Making and Rescue Support for Kids

Unique Experience for Children

On September 13, 2026, a special program designed for children will take place, providing them with the opportunity to create dog accessories while supporting rescue dogs. Hosted by Plus One Education, a subsidiary of Riso Education Group, this day trip is poised to be both educative and compassionate. The event will occur at Ahbase in Sumida, Tokyo, offering an enriching experience targeted at children in grades 1 through 6.

Program Highlights

  • - Date: September 13, 2026 (One-day trip)
  • - Deadline for application: September 8, 2026
  • - Cost: 19,800 yen (including transportation, meals, activity fees, and insurance)
  • - Capacity: Limited to 10 participants (minimum of 5 required to hold the event)

Each participant will be accompanied by staff members, ensuring every child benefits from guidance throughout the day. Participants will travel on regular trains from Shinjuku or can meet directly at the venue.

Engaging Activities

1. Empathy Through Experience

Children will have the chance to connect with rescue dogs at a dog café. This hands-on experience is designed to teach kids about the importance of life and empathy. Children, even those who are unfamiliar with dogs, will receive gentle support from staff. By engaging with the dogs, the children will learn to be considerate of others' feelings, forging a connection that extends beyond animals to human relationships. It’s an ideal program for nurturing kindness in a fun environment.

2. Observation and Expression Workshop

Kids will observe various rescue dogs, including those with disabilities, and will create profile cards to express the unique qualities of each dog. This activity promotes understanding of the diversity of life and the importance of empathy. By articulating what they observe, children will enhance both their observational and expressive skills. This focused time spent with animals encourages gentleness not only towards them but in human interactions, making it a remarkable learning experience.

3. Child-Focused Program to Foster Independence

Designed exclusively for children, participants will engage in responsibilities such as caring for and communicating with dogs, helping to develop their independent decision-making and sense of responsibility. Even those attending their first animal interaction will find warm support from the accompanying staff. This program also serves as a potential stepping stone for kids to consider adopting dogs at home in the future.

Schedule Overview

  • - 8:00 - 9:00: Depart from Shinjuku or meet at Ahbase by 10:00
