Experience the Excitement of the Deaflympics at Shibuya!
On November 23rd and 24th, 2025, the heart of Shibuya will come alive with the participatory event "Deaflympics Support in SHIBUYA" held at the Tokyo Gymnasium plaza. This engaging event aligns with the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics table tennis competitions and aims to foster support for deaf athletes.
Focusing on the theme of visible support, the event will include a rich array of activities such as original art exhibitions, making support fans, face sticker experiences, writing encouragement cards, and showcasing performances like deaf sports storytelling.
What is the Deaflympics?
The Deaflympics is an international sports festival where athletes with hearing impairments compete. Shibuya has adopted the vision of becoming a city that transforms differences into strengths, promoting sign language and raising awareness of the charms of deaf sports. Event activities will deepen understanding of the Deaflympics while creating an enjoyable environment for everyone to participate in the form of “visible support.”
