Mori Trust Co., Ltd. is set to host the YORIMICHI SAKE KAIDO event at the Tokyo World Gate Akasaka, showcasing the rich cultural and culinary heritage of Japan through its diverse regional sakes. This event is a follow-up to the successful Japanese sake event held in Kamiyacho in May 2026, and it promises to provide attendees with an immersive experience of Japan's beloved beverage.

Scheduled for September 10th and 11th, 2026, the event will run from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM, allowing visitors to taste and compare over 20 different types of exquisite sake from Fukushima Prefecture and Kyushu. This unique opportunity invites city dwellers to indulge in the varying tastes of rare sakes that are often hard to find in Tokyo.

The Essence of Fukushima and Kyushu

The theme for the second edition of YORIMICHI SAKE KAIDO is "Comparing the Best Sakes from Fukushima and Kyushu." Known as one of Japan's premier sake-producing regions, Fukushima offers a selection of refined sake, including the esteemed "Nagurayama Daiginjo Competition Entry" and the limited-summer edition "Nagurayama Junmai Ginjo Gettsukyu." These products reflect the long-standing sake-making traditions and the technical expertise of local brewers.

In contrast, Kyushu brings its own unique flavor profiles. Attendees can enjoy remarkable sakes like the barely distributed "Junmai Daiginjo Ai" from Nagasaki Prefecture and the award-winning "Junmai Ginjo BANG" recognized at the Kura Master 2026 competition. These sakes showcase the region's rich food culture and warm climate, demonstrating the diversity in Japanese sake production.

On the event days, a regional product fair featuring goods from Kyushu municipalities, including Fukuoka and Saga, will also take place, allowing attendees to explore local delicacies that pair wonderfully with the showcased sakes.
