Colt Data Centre Services Names Quy Nguyen as New CEO to Drive Growth

Colt Data Centre Services Welcomes Quy Nguyen as CEO

Colt Data Centre Services (Colt DCS) made waves in the business world today with the announcement that Quy Nguyen has officially stepped into the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This pivotal change is effective immediately and comes after Nguyen served as the Acting CEO following the retirement of Niclas Sanfridsson last April. The Board's decision to promote Nguyen to CEO illustrates their confidence in his capabilities and vision for Colt DCS's future.

Nguyen's journey with Colt DCS began in 2016, and since then, he has climbed the ranks through various leadership roles. His tenure has seen him successfully drive teams in sales, marketing, and customer engagement. Most recently, he served as the Chief Sales Officer (CSO), where he refined the company’s commercial strategy and significantly enhanced customer relationships. With a robust background in finance and general management prior to his time with Colt DCS, Nguyen brings a wealth of experience that will benefit the organization greatly.

Under Nguyen's leadership, Colt DCS is poised to embark on a new phase of growth, focusing on expanding its global platform and addressing the rapid evolution of digital infrastructure needs for its customers. The company is currently developing nearly 800MW of capacity across key global markets. This strategic move is crucial as businesses and industries continue to adopt cloud services and expand their artificial intelligence (AI) workloads, particularly in Europe and Asia.

In a statement, Tim Cohen, Chairman of Colt DCS, praised Nguyen's leadership, emphasizing his significant role during a transformative period for the company. Cohen remarked that Nguyen's deep understanding of the business, coupled with his strategic vision, made him the ideal candidate to lead Colt DCS through the accelerating demand for digital infrastructure.

Expressing his excitement about the new role, Nguyen stated, “It is a great honor to be appointed CEO of Colt DCS at such an exciting time for our company and industry. We have built a solid reputation for delivering top-notch digital infrastructure and fostering trusted customer relationships.” He also highlighted his commitment to invest in operational excellence and innovation to meet customers' evolving needs.

Colt DCS has a mission to design, build, and operate data centers that serve global hyperscalers and large enterprises. Presently, their operational portfolio consists of 15 data centers with 12 more sites under development in nine cities across the UK, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. With over 25 years of experience in the data center sector, Colt DCS continues to strive towards being the most trusted and customer-centric data center operator on the market.

The company remains committed to environmental stewardship, setting ambitious targets to cut emissions in line with the Science Based Targets initiative’s (SBTi) Net Zero Standard. Colt DCS is fully aware of its responsibility towards the planet and integrates sustainability into its core business model.

Nguyen's appointment comes at a crucial time as the demand for AI and cloud infrastructures is on the rise. With plans for ongoing investment and global expansion, Colt DCS is well-positioned to support its clients' future needs with a focus on resilience and security in its infrastructure. As industries pivot towards more sustainable technological practices, the leadership of Nguyen is expected to guide Colt DCS with foresight and innovation into this promising horizon.

Colt DCS's proactive approach to embracing change in their operations, coupled with dynamic leadership, sets the stage for a remarkable future as they navigate the complexities of a digital landscape that is always evolving.
