Gold Coast Health Plan Welcomes Suma Simcoe as New COO

Gold Coast Health Plan (GCHP) has officially announced the appointment of Suma Simcoe as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), with her tenure commencing on October 15. As GCHP continues to enhance its commitment to high-quality healthcare services for the residents of Ventura County, Simcoe's extensive experience in managed care is expected to play a critical role in this mission.

Dr. Felix Nuñez, the CEO of GCHP, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming Simcoe to the team. He praised her operational expertise and track record of transforming complex challenges into sustainable solutions. "Suma brings a wealth of operational knowledge and a deep understanding of managed care," stated Nuñez. He highlighted that her leadership is pivotal to building a robust infrastructure and ensuring that GCHP persists in delivering member-centered care to the community.

"I am honored to join Gold Coast Health Plan and contribute to the vital work of connecting members with high-quality care and services," said Simcoe. She looks forward to collaborating with the team to build on the organization's existing accomplishments through operational excellence and innovative practices.

Simcoe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Science with a concentration in Health Care Administration, accompanied by a minor in Computer Science from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York.
