Scaled Agile Revolutionizes Career Transition for Service Members Launching Government SAFe Practice

Scaled Agile Launches New SkillBridge Program

In a significant step forward for military service members, Scaled Agile, Inc. has introduced its new Government SAFe Practice Consultant SkillBridge Program. This program is crafted specifically for those transitioning out of active duty, offering a pathway to gain two invaluable industry certifications at no cost. Service members can apply until December 3 and start training in January 2027, allowing them to continue receiving their military benefits for the last 180 days of service.

Bridging the Gap Between Military and Civilian Careers

Every year, thousands of military personnel leave service with extensive leadership experience in planning and executing complex operations. However, many struggle to find employment in civilian roles due to a lack of recognized credentials. With the Government SAFe Practice Consultant program, Scaled Agile aims to bridge this gap. The program not only provides essential Agile training but also translates military leadership skills into valuable civilian capabilities, particularly in Agile transformation for both government and civilian organizations.

Participants will train full-time and have the opportunity to earn certifications such as:
  • - Government SAFe Agilist (Leading SAFe for Government)
  • - Government SAFe Practice Consultant (AI-Empowered Implementing SAFe)

These credentials are not only recognized but also authorize graduates to teach and certify others in SAFe methodologies, empowering them to lead Agile implementations and responsible AI adoption across government operations.

Comprehensive Curriculum Tailored to Defense Needs

The hybrid program, hosted in Augusta, Georgia, near Fort Gordon, is specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of the defense and federal sectors. The curriculum covers crucial topics from leading change in government settings to Lean Budgeting under appropriation constraints. This enables graduates to prepare for effective roles within government frameworks, ensuring they can make an immediate impact upon completion.

Travis Moorer, MSG (USA Retired) and Strategic Advisor at Scaled Agile, emphasizes the program's practical approach:
"From the first week, participants are doing real work with our advisory, sales, and community teams. Military experience translates naturally to SPC work. Our graduates will be ready on day one to coach teams, lead planning events, and help government organizations put AI to work responsibly."

Open to All Branches and Skill Sets

The program is inclusive, open to service members across all branches and military occupational specialties (MOS), ratings, and Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSC). While no prior Agile experience is necessary, candidates with PMP, PMI, or Lean Six Sigma backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Remote participation is also available, giving flexibility to applicants with priority given to those from the local vicinity.

Applications Now Open

Service members interested in participating in this groundbreaking program can apply now through December 3, 2026. The first cohort is set to begin in January 2027. Those looking to enhance their credentials and transition effectively into civilian roles can visit skillbridge.mil/locations and search for 'Scaled Agile' to submit their applications.

With this initiative, Scaled Agile not only supports veterans in their transition but also strengthens the workforce with highly skilled professionals ready to lead in the evolving landscape of Agile and AI implementations.
