Tickets for this year’s concerts are priced modestly, with students able to attend for just $10, senior citizens and Northeastern employees for $19, while general admission for other patrons is set at $27. There's also an incentive for regular attendees—discounts are available for those who opt for seven-concert or four-concert subscriptions. Tickets can be conveniently purchased online, or at the Welcome Desk and Box Office on the Main Campus, as well as by phone at (773) 442-4636 to avoid additional fees. All performances are scheduled to commence at 7:30 PM on Fridays in either the university's Recital Hall or Auditorium at 5500 North St. Louis Avenue in Chicago.
Christie Miller, the Director of Northeastern's Offices of Cultural Events and Community and Professional Education, expressed her excitement about the upcoming season. "I am thrilled that the Jewel Box Series is now celebrating its 26th season," she said. "I believe audiences will be pleasantly surprised by the high caliber of concerts and the intimate atmosphere of our performances."
The Jewel Box Series is known for its meticulously curated lineup, featuring artists who frequently perform at prestigious venues such as SPACE in Evanston and the Symphony Center. The inaugural concert on September 26 will see the return of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Chamber Musicians, setting a high standard for the events to follow.
Miller shared insights about the selection of artists for the series. "I strive to choose performers that will truly shine in our beautiful, 175-seat Recital Hall, which we use the most for our events. We seek a harmonious balance between various instruments and genres while ensuring that certain instruments resonate beautifully within our space."
Among the standout acts this season, the performance by House of Waters on November 21 features a jazz hammered dulcimer artist, whose unique sound is expected to captivate the audience. Another anticipated highlight is the Barcelona Guitar Trio, scheduled for February 2026, who gained viral fame with their cover of Michael Jackson's iconic song
