Doosan Robotics to Showcase AI Solutions at Automatica 2025

Doosan Robotics is set to make a significant mark at Automatica 2025, Europe's leading automation exhibition, commencing on June 24 in Munich, Germany. Attendees can expect to witness a comprehensive display of the company's advanced automation and manufacturing solutions integrated with artificial intelligence (AI).

The exhibition space is divided into two primary areas, 'Automation in Action' and 'Automation in Reality.' In the latter zone, visitors will have the opportunity to explore a variety of AI-integrated robotic solutions developed in collaboration with technology giants like NVIDIA and AWS. This includes the standout 'Voice to Real' technology, which harnesses voice recognition capabilities co-created with AWS. Another highlight is an enhanced version of Mixmaster Moodie, originally unveiled at CES 2024, which features a 3D vision camera capable of interpreting natural language, understanding user intentions, and autonomously executing corresponding actions.

Doosan's material handling solutions comprise three collaborative robots equipped with vision capabilities, allowing them to recognize and manage objects without prior training. This configuration employs Doosan's innovative dynamic multi-arm manipulation engine, orchestrating the movements of various robotic arms to perform delicate and precise tasks simultaneously. Furthermore, a specialized sanding solution enables robots to autonomously map and polish complex surfaces utilizing AI and 3D vision technology. The inspection solution provides real-time exterior vehicle inspections with high precision, leveraging a sophisticated 3D scanning system.

A key feature of this exhibition will also include the 'Sim to Real' motion control solution, which utilizes NVIDIA Isaac Sim—a leading application designed to simulate and test AI-driven robots—alongside CuRobo, a CUDA-accelerated robotic library. This technology facilitates rapid calculations of complex robotic trajectories through GPU acceleration, ensuring that simulated movements are smoothly transferred to physical robots via real-time communication, thus guaranteeing accurate and responsive operation.

In the 'Automation in Action' area, practical robotic applications will be showcased at critical manufacturing stages, including welding, machine maintenance, assembly, quality inspection, and palletizing. These solutions, developed in partnership with various European entities, are already implemented by global industry leaders such as General Motors, Danone, Heineken, and Royal Mail, validating their commercial viability and operational reliability in the European market.
