Picklr Keystone Crossing Hosts Inaugural Special Olympics Indiana Pickleball State Tournament

On September 13, 2026, Picklr Keystone Crossing in Indianapolis will host the first-ever Special Olympics Indiana pickleball state tournament. This exciting event will bring together 82 athletes from across the state, all vying for gold, silver, and bronze medals. The tournament will commence at 9:15 AM, showcasing the skills and dedication of these remarkable competitors.

Last year, Picklr Keystone Crossing took the initiative to introduce pickleball to Special Olympics Indiana by hosting a training clinic, which attracted 36 athletes and 27 coaches from various counties. This clinic was a vital step in preparing them for the competitive season ahead. It highlighted Picklr's commitment to nurturing sports for individuals with intellectual disabilities, paving the way for inclusive sports experiences.

The upcoming pickleball championship is just one of nine different sporting events lined up this fall in Central Indiana. Alongside pickleball, there will be competitions in equestrian, softball, golf, cornhole, flag football, distance running/walking, soccer, and unified volleyball. All these events are set to take place between August 15 and November 21, expecting to draw nearly 3,000 athletes, along with their unified partners. Notably, admission to all events remains free, making it accessible to everyone who wishes to show their support.
