D3 Energy's New Helium Resource Discovery Sparks Interest in South Africa's Energy Market

D3 Energy's Significant Helium Resource Expansion in South Africa

D3 Energy Limited, an Australian company listed on the ASX (D3E) and OTCQX (DNRGF), has recently announced a substantial increase in its helium resource base within South Africa's Free State Province. This exciting news comes after independent certification confirmed a maiden contingent and prospective resource at the company’s ER386 exploration permit.

The newly evaluated area is strategically located adjacent to the Virginia Gas Project, managed by Renergen, highlighting the growing significance of this region in the global energy landscape. The certification by Sproule ERCE, a globally acknowledged auditor of reserves and resources, marks a milestone in the company's growth trajectory.

According to the new certification, the recoverable helium resource across the combined ER315, PR016, and ER386 permits has surged 65% to 35.6 billion cubic feet (BCF). This is a remarkable increase, especially when considering that the total prospective helium resource has skyrocketed by 94%, reaching 52.5 BCF, compared to the previous standalone estimates for ER315 and PR016.

ER386, which is contiguous with D3 Energy's flagship ER315 permit, boasts the distinction of sitting within a helium-rich province known for its verified helium concentrations reaching as high as 8%. This exploration area encompasses approximately 59% of the combined ER315 and PR016 permits, contributing to D3's expansive coverage of 479,409 acres in the Free State Province, where D3 holds a full working interest in ER386.

David Casey, the Managing Director and CEO of D3 Energy, expressed optimism about the recent certification: “The confirmation of our maiden contingent resource at ER386 underscores the quality and potential scale of our operations in the Free State helium province. Together, the combination of reserves across ER315, PR016, and ER386 positions us in one of the world's most significant helium provinces, especially in light of the geopolitical challenges in the Middle East that may limit global helium supply over the coming years.”

As the world witnesses rising demand for helium, particularly for applications in technology and healthcare, D3 Energy's developments serve as a beacon of opportunity. The increased resource base will not only enhance the company's standing in the industry but also fortify South Africa's presence in the global energy market.

The company remains committed to advancing its helium and methane exploration efforts and expects to provide more updates as it continues exploring the vast potential of its holdings in South Africa. Moreover, in addition to its ongoing operations in South Africa, D3 Energy also possesses highly prospective helium and hydrogen permits in the Arckaringa Basin located in South Australia.

For those interested in further details, D3 Energy has made the full announcement available through ASX, which includes comprehensive resource tables and technical appendices. As the company anticipates increasing engagement from investors and media, David Casey will be touring the United States starting May 10, visiting various cities including New York and Atlanta. Potential stakeholders can arrange meetings with Casey through the media contact provided.

D3 Energy's commitment to innovation and growth in helium production sets a new standard in the energy mining sector, making it a company to watch as these developments unfold in an increasingly competitive and complex marketplace.
