The Japan Planning Institute (JPI) is excited to host a seminar focused on the critical theme of achieving a Zero Carbon City. Taking place in Higashikurume on November 28th, 2025, this event is designed for local government officials and stakeholders interested in sustainability and carbon neutrality initiatives.

Overview of the Seminar


The seminar will feature Takahito Nagasawa, the head of the Planning and Management Office of Higashikurume City. He will provide insights into the pressing local and administrative challenges faced in our journey towards a Zero Carbon City. His lecture will cover the current environmental climate, local government efforts towards decarbonization, and how community and administrative issues can be resolved alongside these efforts.

How to Attend


Participants can choose from three options for attending the seminar: in-person at the venue, live streaming, or accessing archived recordings for up to two weeks post-event. The flexibility of these options ensures that even those who cannot attend live can benefit from this important discussion.

Registration Fee


The cost to attend is 37,370 JPY (including tax) for one participant. Special offer: when you register one participant, a second person from the same company can join for free (registration required). Additionally, public sector representatives can register up to two participants at a reduced fee of 11,000 JPY (including tax), but this option is only available for attendees participating in-person or via live streaming. Please ensure that both attendees from the same government body select the same participation format.
