Dahua Technology Unveils AI-Powered ITS Solutions at Intertraffic 2026

Dahua Technology, a global provider of video-centric AI solutions and services, has made a remarkable return to Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026. At this prestigious event, the company unveiled its latest advancements in intelligent transportation systems (ITS) designed to enhance road safety, streamline traffic management, and support sustainable urban mobility.

Mr. Wang Jun, General Manager of ITS Product Research and Development at Dahua Technology, delivered an impactful presentation titled “AI Empowering a Smarter, Safer, and Sustainable Traffic.” In his address, he highlighted how AI can transform traffic management from passive monitoring to proactive and predictive operations. According to Mr. Wang, this shift enables cities to optimize road resources, enhance traffic safety, and improve the efficiency of citizen mobility. He emphasized Dahua's advantage in leveraging advanced technologies such as AI, IoT, and large-scale algorithms to tackle critical urban traffic challenges, including congestion, accidents, law enforcement, and traveler experience.

Central to Dahua's ITS offering is the Xinghan 2.0 large-scale model, which encompasses the V (vision-centric), M (multimodal fusion), and L (language comprehension) ranges. This powerful AI engine seamlessly integrates real-time video, traffic, and regulatory data into an intelligent feedback loop comprising perception, analysis, decision-making, and control. This approach allows for automated incident detection, optimized signal control, precise law enforcement, and reduced false alarms, which significantly enhances safety and efficiency in complex road environments.

Dahua also showcased its enhanced Radar Video Fusion (VRF 2.0) technology, which improves accuracy and continuity even in challenging scenarios by fusing radar and visual data. This integration helps overcome occlusion and misidentification issues while significantly reducing setup time. Key ITS products highlighted during the event included:

  • - Bisight X Series Dual-Spectrum Radar-Video Fusion Camera: This solution monitors driver behavior and road conditions, capturing reliable evidence for law enforcement in all weather conditions.
  • - Spotter Ultra: A system that detects speeding and other traffic violations across eight lanes, 24/7, delivering a comprehensive evidence chain, ideal for complex intersections.
  • - iPatrol Smart Light Bar: Transforms control vehicles into mobile AI centers, providing 360-degree monitoring and intelligent detection for dynamic traffic control.

In addition to enforcing safety regulations, Dahua presented solutions aimed at improving traffic efficacy and traveler experiences, including:
  • - Intelligent Signal Control: Utilizing AI to dynamically adjust signals based on video and radar data to alleviate congestion and minimize delays.
  • - Smart Highway Systems: Integrating moving weight detection, variable road signals, and AI-driven incident detection to enhance long-distance flow and safety.
  • - Intelligent Parking Solutions: Built around automatic license plate recognition cameras and Dahua’s unified platform, these solutions streamline parking operations and expand service capabilities within the ecosystem.

Dahua also shared insights on its global ITS deployments and sustainable urban development, highlighting successful projects such as the AI traffic management system for the Second Penang Bridge in Malaysia and the first intelligent signal network in San Francisco de Campeche, Mexico. These projects demonstrate measurable improvements in surveillance, law enforcement, and congestion reduction.

Additionally, the exhibition featured Dahua’s intelligent electric vehicle charging solutions, underscoring the company's ongoing efforts to promote green and sustainable transportation ecosystems. With continuous innovation in AIoT technologies and collaborations with global partners, Dahua is committed to advancing ITS innovations that assist cities in building safer, more efficient, and sustainable mobility systems around the world.
