V10 Entertainment Welcomes Carter Skeath as President to Drive Growth and Reinforce Global Media Ties

V10 Entertainment Appoints Carter Skeath as President

V10 Entertainment, a prominent media entity known for its ownership of Venture 10 Studio Group and Vin Di Bona Productions, has made a significant move by appointing Carter Skeath as their new President. This strategic decision aims to bolster the company's directives in commercial growth and overall business development.

Carter Skeath comes to this newly minted role from Paramount Global, where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Distribution. With over 18 years of seasoned experience in the entertainment industry, Skeath brings a wealth of knowledge encompassing content licensing, network distribution, media sales, and business development. His impressive educational credentials include an MBA from UCLA's Anderson School of Management, alongside various leadership roles across prominent media companies, including CBS Inc.

In his new capacity, Skeath will report directly to CEO John Stevens and will oversee several core divisions within V10, including V10 Studios and V10 Distribution. A particularly noteworthy aspect of this appointment is the recent acquisition of global distribution rights for Disney's well-loved program, "America's Funniest Home Videos" (AFV), positioning V10 for expanded distribution capabilities. The AFV brand holds a staggering repository of content, allowing V10 to cater to a wide audience, ensuring both humor and entertainment remain central to its offerings.

V10 has built a vast portfolio that encompasses more than 1,600 hours of owned content, alongside numerous original productions that resonate well with audiences globally. The company has also invested in projects such as "America's Funniest People" for ABC and true-crime series like "Inquisitors" for Amazon. This strategic content diversification exemplifies V10's vision of creating engaging media across various platforms.

John Stevens expressed his enthusiasm regarding Skeath's appointment, highlighting the value of his extensive experience in fostering relationships in the media landscape, especially with longstanding partners like Disney. Stevens mentioned, "We are thrilled to welcome Carter to the team; his deep expertise in global media will be instrumental in driving our businesses forward and expanding the 35-year relationship with our amazing partners at Disney."

Upon stepping into the role, Skeath shared his excitement about joining V10 Entertainment, stating, "V10 is perfectly positioned in today's dynamic market to drive significant value to our global partners and shareholders. We're nimble, well-capitalized, and can provide a one-stop shop to clients given our expertise in production and now distribution. AFV is a testament to that positioning." His ambitions extend beyond mere content; he envisions bringing continuous laughter to audiences everywhere using V10's extensive library of content, including a remarkable 2.5 million clip catalog from the AFV brand.

V10 Entertainment is a media company backed by Clarion Capital, focusing on unscripted content and investments into companies boasting owned intellectual property (IP) or economic rights. The acquisition of both Venture 10 Studio Group and Vin Di Bona Productions in 2023 marked a pivotal moment in the company's growth trajectory. As the owner of the industry's largest comedy library, V10 produces 250 hours of original content annually and programs 44 owned digital channels while enjoying a massive following across social media, currently surpassing 100 million followers.

As Carter Skeath takes the reins, the future of V10 Entertainment looks promising, driven by ambitious content strategies that capitalize on both creativity and deep-rooted industry relations. With the foundation laid by his predecessor and a visionary leadership style, V10 is poised to continue its legacy and expand its footprint across both domestic and international markets.
