Zentiva's 2024 Sustainability Report Marks Major Achievements and Goals

Zentiva’s Sustainability Report 2024

For the fourth consecutive year, Zentiva has released its comprehensive Sustainability Report, which showcases the company's key milestones achieved in 2024. Ines Windisch, the company's Director of Communications, Corporate Affairs, and Sustainability, stated, "These achievements are only possible thanks to the commitment of our employees and partners. Understanding our impacts as individuals, teams, and as a business helps us take appropriate actions focused on caring for people, our partners, and the planet."

One of the standout achievements noted in this year’s report is the remarkable reduction of over 20% in Scope 1 greenhouse gas emissions over the past three years. Zentiva has transitioned all its European manufacturing sites to operate entirely on 100% renewable electricity. The company is also collaborating with its partners to decarbonize Scope 3 emissions, aligning with Europe’s ambitious goal of becoming the first climate-neutral continent by the year 2050.

Zentiva's CEO, Steffen Saltofte, elaborated on the sustainable growth model, asserting, "Zentiva serves as proof that a company’s growth can coexist with investment in a sustainable future. Our high-quality, affordable products reach over 100 million people. We recognize our societal and environmental impact and strive to operate responsibly while creating a great workplace and supporting those around us. We are committed to ensuring access to affordable healthcare while supporting European climate goals.”

Operating across more than 30 countries, Zentiva has received accolades for its workplace culture, recognized as a Top Employer in several key locations and certified as a Great Place to Work in many others. With a gender balance in its workforce of 53% female representation and a diversity encompassing over 50 nationalities across four generations, Zentiva is an attractive employer.

The 2024 Sustainability Report also addresses various non-financial topics outlined in GRI standards, underscoring the company’s dedication to advancing in all areas of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria. The full report is available on their official website, www.zentiva.com.
